Support Services provides consultation and direct services to over 20,000 referred students each year across the TDSB, to optimize the educational outcome for all students.
Every school has access to a team of professionals to assist school staff and parent/guardian(s) in maximizing the educational potential of all students. Our schools are at the heart of every community in the City of Toronto. Wherever you are in the city, you'll find a local public school to welcome you. They are our centres of learning, and they are also centres of activity before and after school. We have 558 schools that deliver quality education to our students. 451 schools offer elementary level education (including intermediate) and 102 offer secondary level education. Many secondary schools offer a semestered format. Five schools offer adult day credit programs. Use the buttons on the right to select the type of school you're looking for. Toronto Catholic School Board http://www.tcdsb.org/ Toronto’s Catholic schools invite you to catch the spirit. At the Toronto Catholic District School Board, we teach more than the basics. Through a Christ-centered vision and in partnership with parents, parishes and the community, we serve students from diverse cultural, linguistic and ethnic backgrounds in Canada’s largest and most dynamic city. TCDSB educates close to 95,000 students in 201 elementary and secondary schools. The Toronto Catholic District School Board is proud to serve students from diverse cultural, linguistic and ethnic backgrounds through a broad range of programs and services. Working in partnership with parents, local parishes and the wider school community, TCDSB schools offer a safe and caring learning environment, which reflects Catholic tradition and values. Toronto’s Catholic schools follow the provincial curriculum as set out by the Ministry of Education, however the objectives of TCDSB schools are to enable students not only to reach their academic potential, but to develop spiritually and emotionally as well. TCDSB schools strive to be true faith communities, where programs reflect the teachings of the Catholic church, where prayer and reflection are an intrinsic part of each school day, and where students have opportunities to put their faith into action through their interactions with staff, their fellow students and the wider community.
Private Elementary and Secondary Schools http://www.edu.gov.on.ca/eng/general/elemsec/privsch/ The Ministry of Education may inspect a private secondary school that has requested inspection in order to authorize the principal to grant credits in subjects leading to the Ontario Secondary School Diploma. The inspection relates to the standard of instruction. The ministry does not inspect health equipment nor practices related to safety and staffing issues.
